Hubert H. Humphrey (a United Methodist himself) appears on the United Methodist call-in talk show "Night Call." Topics include civil law and order, the 1968 Chicago protests, the arms race and missiles in the Soviet Union, Humphrey's support for a volunteer army, reduction of nuclear and other weapons, and the bombing halt in Vietnam. (Recording provided by The Edmund S. Muskie Archives and Special Collections Library, Lewiston ME. Muskie was Humphrey's vice-presidential running mate in 1968.)
